What are blemish patches

By now, you likely know exactly what blemish patches are, or are at least aware of them. But if not, here is a quick refresh on what they are and what they do:

  • Blemish patches help minimize pimples
  • They provide a barrier against irritants (think finger-picking and bacteria)
  • They’re made of hydrocolloid
  • Hydrocolloid absorbs fluid (like sebum and pus from a pimple)
  • The patch turns white as it absorbs fluid
  • Hydrocolloid helps promote faster pimple recovery

Blemish patches work as a great spot treatment anytime an unwanted pimple pops up. They   help prevent you from picking at the spot all while actively absorbing gunk to flatten the spot within 6 to 8 hours.

How are blemish patches different?

Blemish patches can differ in a couple different ways. Some have added ingredients, others are different shapes. The thickness, or alternatively the thinness of a patch can also affect the feel of them on the skin.

Some blemish patches also have added features depending on what kind of blemish they are targeting. For example, a deep pimple may need a little more power than your everyday blemish patch. That’s where microdarts can come in handy. While they may sound a little scary, microdarts are ultra-thin, painless, and they serve a very important role when targeting a deep pimple. The microdarts help reach the source of the issue to reduce the size of deep pimples and stop them in their tracks.

Other types of blemish patches target certain types of blemishes via added ingredients. This can include a variety of ingredients like Salicylic Acid to Niacinamide and even Retinol.

Our blemish patch collection

Our blemish patches each have a specific role and are meant for certain types of blemishes, from surface pimples to dark spots.

Blemish Patch

The Blemish Patch is made with Hydrocolloid to best help tackle surface pimples. The small circle patches are great for superficial pimples like whiteheads.

Extra Strength Blemish Patch

Made with Salicylic Acid, the Extra Strength Blemish Patch is best for stubborn pimples, particularly the type of pimple that seems hard to pop (although you shouldn’t be popping any). The added Salicylic Acid helps flush out gunk from a stubborn pimple to help minimize the size of the spot faster.

Soothing Blemish Patch

For the pimples that feel a bit irritated, the Soothing Blemish Patch is made with Aloe, Madecassic Acid, and Tea Tree to combat irritation and redness. This combination of calming ingredients helps bring down redness while also flattening the pimple.

T-Zone Pore Patch

The T-Zone Pore Patch is an XL patch shaped specifically to fit all the areas of the t-zone. It can be placed on the nose, forehead, and chin to suck up excess sebum and reduce the appearance of clogged pores. The added small triangle patches also provide extra coverage around the corners of the nose or can help cover pimples on the contoured areas of the face like around the lips.

Face & Body Blemish Patch

Another XL-shaped patch is our Face & Body Blemish Patch. It comes in a large rectangle shape to make customization easy. Simply cut the patch based on the size you need and apply. The larger size also makes it ideal for clustered acne on acne-prone areas of the body, like the chest and back.

Brightening Microdart Patch

Our first microdart patch, the Brightening Microdart Patch, targets dark spots that may linger from healed acne. Made with self-dissolving microdarts packed with Niacinamide and Hyaluronic Acid to reach the problem spot at the source to help even skin tone.

EraZit Magnesium Microdart Patch

Continuing on the microdart theme, the EraZit Magnesium Microdart Patch is made with non-dissolving microdarts. These microdarts continuously deliver Magnesium to a deep pimple to help calm the spot and reduce redness. Because of this the EraZit patch works best for underground pimples, the kind of pimples that don’t have visible gunk and appear deep in the skin.

On the Go Blemish Patch

As the first-of-its-kind blemish patch dispenser, the On the Go Blemish Patch contains 108 patches in a compact container. You simply pull the tape on one end which dispenses the patch on the other end for easy application wherever and whenever you need it. The 12mm size patches help with surface pimples big and small, keeping them under cover from finger-picking and irritants while shrinking the spot.

Each patch in our collection serves a distinct purpose. If you mostly deal with surface pimples (like whiteheads) then you can use the Blemish Patch, On the Go Blemish Patch, or Face & Body Blemish Patch. Each in different formats (for small pimples to clustered acne) but all made with Hydrocolloid to help with your blemish problems. The T-Zone Pore Patch also helps with surface pimples plus clogged pores along the t-zone.

Then for other types of blemishes like stubborn or irritated pimples you can use the Extra Strength Blemish Patch or Soothing Blemish Patch, respectively.

Our microdart patches target concerns like deep pimples and dark spots. EraZit helps calm deep, angry pimples while our brightening patch helps fade any lingering spots from healed acne.

Our latest additions

Many of our original blemish patches are discreet in appearance so you can easily wear them without it being super noticeable if that is what you are looking for.

But, if you would like to make more of a statement with your blemish care, our Cosmic and Glow Blemish Patch come in multiple shapes and fun effects to level up your spot care.

The Cosmic Blemish Patch comes in a holographic finish so it is color-shifting and includes 4 fun shapes—star, heart, lightning bolt, and sparkle. Made with Hydrocolloid, the Cosmic Blemish Patch helps conceal a pimple while absorbing pimple gunk to shrink the size of the spot. The holographic finish also makes a great addition to any festival look.

The Glow Blemish Patch comes in the same shapes but in a glow in the dark finish. Simply light up the patches with a flash light for 60 seconds and apply the patch. The glow in the dark effect is immediately activated and can be “recharged;” just apply more light to the patch.

Lastly…

To choose the best patch for you, identify the kind of pimple you have then choose the patch that will best fit your needs. For example, is your pimple deep in the skin and looks like a red bump? Then use EraZit. Or, is it a surface pimple with a clear whitehead? Then you have a couple options to choose from including our original patch to our newest Cosmic or Glow patches.
