How does the Extra Strength Blemish Patch work?
If you’re wondering how the Extra Strength Blemish Patch is different from other patches, it’s because of the added Salicylic Acid. While our original Blemish Patches are made with hydrocolloid, our Extra Strength Blemish Patches are made with hydrocolloid AND Salicylic Acid.
Since not all pimples are the same, our Extra Strength Blemish Patch packs a little extra punch to help deflate blind pimples. Blind Pimples are the zits that sit deep in the skin and usually appear as red and sometimes painful bumps. They typically also don’t have a visible whitehead.
When you encounter a blind pimple, best practice is to not pop this pimple. Trying to pop pimples without a clear whitehead can only lead to more irritation, redness, and possibly an even bigger pimple than what you started with.
Our Extra Strength Blemish Patch is infused with Salicylic Acid to help draw out gunk, like pus and oil, from blind pimples. As an exfoliant Salicylic Acid extracts build up from pores to help clean out the pore and reduce the size of blemishes. And, since blind pimples take a little longer to heal, our patches are gentle enough to use over multiple days. Just make sure to replace the patch after 6 to 8 hours if your pimple requires another patch.
