With tons of new skincare product launches, new skincare innovations, and trends, it can be tough to keep up a steady and simple skincare routine. And on top of that it seems like morning and night routines can be pretty different too.

So, how are you supposed to keep up with a whole separate am and pm routine? The important thing to remember is that the basics usually stay the same and from there you can add on to your routines as you need.

Two basic steps that you’ll likely repeat in the morning and at night are cleansing and moisturizing. These two steps will pretty much remain constant. Aside from these two steps the rest of your routine usually depends on the skin concerns you are looking to target.

Morning Routine with Hanhoo

Cleanser

While not everyone cleanses their skin first thing in the morning, if you lean towards the oilier side of the skin type spectrum then cleansing can help reduce oiliness.

Our Men’s Blemish Cleanser contains Bamboo, Sea Salt, and Hyaluronic Acid to help cleanse the skin of excess oil without stripping the skin. The creamy-textured cleanser foams up to effectively remove any impurities on the skin and create a clean canvas for the rest of your routine.

Toner

Following your cleanser, you can apply your toner to help with a variety of skin concerns like excess shine.

Our Dermafix Blemish Toner is made with Calamine, Witch Hazel, and Aloe to help reduce shine, which is especially helpful for oily and combination skin types. The mattifying ingredients can keep shine at bay throughout the day but won’t completely dry up your skin.

Moisturizer

A moisturizer is great for all skin types whether you have dry or oily skin. While some oily skin types may think you can get away with skipping out on moisturizer, doing so may actually not be helping your skin.

Some moisturizers are specifically formulated to help balance the oil on your skin, like our Dermafix Blemish Moisturizer. Our moisturizer is made with Green Tea and Calamine to help balance the sebum on your skin while keeping the skin hydrated so you don’t have to worry about looking too greasy.

Lastly, don’t forget to always apply your SPF even if the sky is looking cloudy.

Night Routine with Hanhoo

Cleanser

Same as your morning routine, your night routine starts with a cleanser. Being out and about all day can leave behind dirt, grime, and built up oil on the skin, so you’ll want to wash all that away before continuing with the rest of your routine.

Toner

This step is actually optional. If you find that your skin is super oily and may need the extra toning step then you can always apply the Dermafix Blemish Toner to help soak up the excess oil.

Sheet Mask

While applying a sheet mask will likely not be a part of your everyday routine, it helps to treat your skin to a sheet mask maybe once a week or so.

Our Dermafix Blemish Mask is soaked in a Tea Tree Oil and Panthenol serum to help calm blemish-prone skin and boost the skin with added moisture.

Moisturizer

Finish up your night routine with a moisturizer to help restore hydration to the skin. Since the skin works to repair itself overnight as you sleep, it’s helpful to have a moisturizer with ingredients that help support this process.

The Men’s Blemish Moisturizer contains ingredients like Bamboo, Aloe, and Hyaluronic Acid to help support the skin barrier and restore the skin (which is especially helpful for a nighttime moisturizer to do).

Lastly…

While blemish patches might not be a step you repeat everyday, you can easily incorporate them into your morning or night skincare routine.

All you really need to remember when applying blemish patches is that they go on after your cleanser but before your moisturizer to make sure they adhere well to the skin to help flatten pimples as they pop up.
